A few weeks ago I went to our back yard I found this flower there. My husband was going to mow so I took my camera quick before he mow the yard. I have no idea what the name of it. My husband told me that it was a weed growing in our yard.

Depths of Sin Hot Chocolate

I am a chocolate lover. I like brownies, chocolate candy, chocolate cake and drink chocolate milk and hot chocolate. But I have never tasted “depths of sin hot chocolate” I found this recipe in one of the news paper. Maybe I will try to make this one day when I will have time.

1 cup milk
½ cup heavy cream
1 ripe banana

Pinch cinnamon
Pinch salt
3 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
½ cup marshmallow spread

In a blender, combine the milk, cream, banana, cinnamon and salt. Puree until very smooth and thick. Pour the milk mixture in a small saucepan and set over medium heat.

Warm the mixture. Whisking constantly until just barely comes to simmer. Add both chocolates and the marshmallow spread. Whisk until completely melted and smooth. Ladle the hot chocolate into espresso cups. If desired top with a dollop of desired cream.

back from vacation

Last week one of my co workers came back from his two weeks vacation in the Philippines. When he came back to work he was very happy, he could not stopped talking about his vacation. He brought a lot of pasalubong for us and I can not stop eating. There were a lot of Filipino delicacies and I really like polvoron from goldilocks. He even brought a pan di coco and I got lucky he gave me a piece of it. It has been a long time since I ate this kind bread. He spent his Christmas on the plane. He said he did not want to come back here but he needed to. I think all people that go on vacation do not want to come back to work.

leaves are yellow

This is the tree on our front yard, all the leaves are yellow now and most have fallen off . The leaves are all over our yard. My son asked me why the leaves change color like this. I told him that it was because of the cold weather. I think I am right but I am not sure. He is the one asking me to take picture of it.

She has a bad mom

1) Kelly’s mom was driving Kelly to school. Kelly forgot to fasten her safety belt.

2) The car hit the curb. Kelly fell forward and bumped her head HARD. She cried and cried.

3) She had to go to the hospital and get an x-ray. Kelly got well in a day or two, but she learned an important lesson.

4) What lesson did Kelly learn? She has a bad mom.

sports car

I saw this car when I was on my way to work with my sister in law. I tried to take picture with it with my camera phone. It is a sports car but I forgot the name on it. The color is green, I like this car it is cute and it is the first time I saw a car like this on the road. I know that there are a bunch of sports cars but I think this is one of a kind car.

Brevity

Life is but a breath,so the bible says. So take a deep breath,fill your lungs and think about it. Don't but your children off, even if you are tired. Don't squelch the moment, even if it is inconvenient. Nothing is more powerful than showing your love at the point of a felt need. Look at the bird he is alone and waiting for his playmates. I am the one who took this picture I was trying to be a photographer. I think it is pretty. That is what I like about here in the US you can see a lot of birds. On the back yard of your house or in the park, even on the parking lot. there are bunch of them. But this bird maybe he got lost :-)))

They are back home

Last time in my other post I was talking about one of my friend who was worried about going back to the Philippines because of “pasalubong”. On Sunday they come back from their vacation I saw him he could not stop talking about his vacation and how happy he was. Imagine being away for thirteen years from his brother and sister he finally saw them again. He said he liked the foods that he can’t stop eating. They went to manila and Cebu. He said that two weeks is not enough that if he could he would not come back here. He is very happy to see his sibs again and maybe next year he will go back again and he is not worried about not having gifts anymore.

Worried about gifts

I have a friend at work that is going on vacation to the Philippines for two weeks together with his wife who is a nurse here. After 13 years of living here in the US he finally decide to go back to the PI. He is very excited to go back there and see his brothers and sisters and relatives but at the same time worried. Worried about the gifts to his family of what to gives to them he said they might not like what he has to give to them. We always told him not to worry about that because what ever you can give them they will be happy with it. He is like that because he doesn’t have a lot of money for all the presents and some cash for his siblings. That is why he doesn’t like to go home because he is thinking that they might want more. Still we kept telling him don’t worry just go see your family that is more important than anything else. If you give them a bar of soap they will be very happy and if you can give a dozen bars of soap they still very happy it is the same. I hope he and his wife have a safe travel and enjoy their vacation there with out worrying about anything.

Journey Concert

Last Sunday there was a concert, Journey here in Dallas one of my friend watched the concert with his family. I would have liked to go but I can’t because nobody will watch my children. He told me look in you tube the concert is their. If you want to watch more of Arnel Penida sing check here. I like his faithfully! But he looks very tired already.
