still working everyday

Yesterday at work we were talking about always working all the time. One man asked me how I was doing; I said still the same working. He replied well, you are still working and this company is good because there are no lay off. I felt ashamed of myself. Yes it was true, I am lucky that I am still working everyday. If you watch the news everyday you can see how many people are getting laid off from work and they are very sad. It is not easy to lose your job right now. Even you think you have a crappy job it is okay as long as you are still working.
